We are looking for an experienced Staff Attorney – Voting Rights (51131) to join our Impact Litigation team in Los Angeles.

ABOUT THE ROLE
For over three decades, Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Los Angeles has engaged in advocacy, community education, poll monitoring and litigation to secure the voting rights of AANHPI guaranteed by law. The Staff Attorney is a leading role in our continuing voting rights efforts to ensure that minority and limited English proficiency (LEP) voters have full access to voting as required by the Voting Rights Act (VRA), the California Voting Rights Act (CVRA), the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), and the various state laws providing additional protections against election irregularities. The Staff Attorney, under the direction of the Supervising Attorney, collaborates with community partners, leads education for grassroots organizations, advocates with state and local officials on voting and election matters. Additionally, the Staff Attorney works with our Legislative Policy Team on litigation to protect the rights of LEP and POC voters and their communities. This position is covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

40% Advocate for voting rights of AANHPI AMEMSA communities in California
30% Support Advocacy for voting rights on national level
30% Other Advocacy and Litigation
