Title: People Partner
Reports to: Finance and Operations Manager
Status: 20 hours per week- Remote
Compensation: $35/hour, non-exempt
For over 20 years, Communities In Schools of WA (CISWA) in partnership with our Washington Network comprised of 15 local affiliates (12 independent 501 c3 and 3 emerging) has been striving for equity in educational opportunities. Driven by our core values of collaboration, opportunity, access, and transformation, and in adherence to the CIS National guidelines, CISWA (state office) works to ensure that all affiliates and their Board of Directors have the tools and capacity to provide and sustain strong student programs and services in their local communities as they work directly inside K-12 schools supporting those students who have historically been furthest from educational justice.
CISWA is a small, high-energy office that has a history of strong operations and successful outcomes built upon community partnerships. In addition to supporting state operations, CISWA is incubating three emerging affiliates and is the financial sponsor of these affiliates, supporting each of the Executive Directors and their program staff.
CISWA is seeking a dedicated part time People Partner to support the state office team and three emerging affiliates which are all located in Central and Eastern Washington. This professional who has a passion to serve others would support approximately 40 employees. Reporting to the Finance and Operations Manager, the People Officer will be responsible for providing HR functions to the state agency and its role could evolve into a full-time position as CIS growth continues across Washington State. CISWA and three emerging affiliates, CIS of Blue Mountain Region, CIS of Central WA, CIS of Rural Eastern WA have outlined the People Partner’s role to focus on four areas:
