  Job Description

ABOUT THE POSITION: The Events Manager is responsible for event planning, administration, and coordination from the initial planning to post-event activities for all organization special events and annual receptions. These events include the annual auction, annual meeting, groundbreaking ceremonies and other fundraising events. The Manager will implement donor development plans to cultivate partnerships with foundations, corporations, and community partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s degree is strongly desired, in social work, public administration or related field or relevant work experience, certificate and/or equivalent continuing professional development or education.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative support role.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an events and/or fundraising role.
  • At least 1 year working experience including report generation with Raiser’s Edge or other similar fundraising data base.
  • Familiarity with issues of homelessness, mental illness, substance abuse, sexual assault, and/or domestic violence, desired.

 

LOCATION: Headquarters in Pioneer Square

REPORTS TO: Director of Advancement

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

SCHEDULE: Weekdays with occasional evenings and weekends
