Facilities Maintenance Technician/Assistant
Located in Wilsonville, Oregon, World of Speed is a new kind of educational experiential motorsports exposition using historic racecars, motorcycles and boats to tell the story of America’s love affair with the automobile and leadership role in world motorsports. It encompasses many aspects of motorsports including drag racing and road racing, land speed racing, motorcycle racing, as well as open wheel, NASCAR and watersports.
We are seeking an experienced individual to work full-time as a Building & Facilities Maintenance Technician, under the general direction of the Facilities Director. Assists in performing routine corrective and preventative maintenance work on our facility, its operating equipment and systems and performs related preventive maintenance duties as required. Moderate problem solving required as well. Position requires familiarity with commercial building routine maintenance activities, not limited to, work on plumbing and electrical systems, doors, floors, windows, roofs, HVAC components and general facility maintenance, janitorial and housekeeping duties.
- Working conditions may include working outside in inclement weather, crawling in small cramped spaces, working from ladders, scaffolds and other above ground locations including roofs; working in extreme temperatures, around moving machinery, and in confined spaces containing high levels of noise, dust, and odors could be expected.
- Some risk of exposure to dirt and chemicals, some danger of burns, electric shock, infection or minor injuries that could require the use of OSHA approved Personal Protective Equipment.
- Normal duties require 40 hours per week, regular hours to be Monday – Friday, 2:45 – 11:15 pm. May include some weekends and overtime.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & EQUIPMENT USAGE:
- Working in conditions noted above; other demands may include working outside in inclement weather, walking, standing, bending, and stooping for extended periods of time, lifting and carrying heavy objects up to 75 pounds, etc.
