Leadership for Educational Equity (LEE) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan leadership development organization dedicated to developing its members’ potential to ensure every child has the opportunity to receive an outstanding education. Our kids and communities need more leaders who believe that educational inequity is a solvable problem. We believe that when our members are organized and reach positions of leadership, they’ll serve as a transformative force for students, communities and the broader movement for educational equity. Managers of Candidate Recruitment inspire, cultivate, and develop a diverse class of powerful future elected leaders by building relationships, presenting opportunities, direct coaching, leveraging resources and trainings, and driving relationships to candidacy. They excel at inspiring action to bridge the political ambition gap and help members see themselves as the elected officials their communities need. As a result of the Manager, Candidate Recruitment’s leadership, diverse members across a national portfolio of regions are inspired and taking action to become powerful, culturally competent, future elected leaders. Members know the electoral opportunities where they live and have clear steps on how to move forward to explore and prepare.
Travel Requirements: 50%
Position Location: Bay Area, Phoenix & Los Angeles are strongly preferred. Washington DC, Dallas Fort-Worth, Houston & Chicago will also be considered.

Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included.
