The Aspen Institute Mission
The Aspen Institute is an educational and policy studies organization based in Washington, DC. Its mission is to foster leadership based on enduring values and to provide a nonpartisan venue for dealing with critical issues. The Institute has campuses in Aspen, Colorado, and on the Wye River on Marylands Eastern Shore. It also maintains offices in New York City and has an international network of partners.
Communications and Society Program
The overall goal of the Communications and Society Program is to promote integrated, thoughtful, values-based policies and decision making in the fields of communications, digital and network technologies, journalism, library and information policy.
The Communications and Society Program is a great place to learn about leading edge communications and technology issues. The Program seeks a responsible, detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communications, social media, office and research skills to work approximately 20-35 hours per week beginning as soon as possible. The job is predominantly administrative in nature, but special projects will be assigned depending on the needs of the Program and the skills of the candidate.
