For more than forty-five years, the National Partnership for Women & Families has fought for every major policy advance that has helped this nation’s women and families. Our mission is to improve the lives of women and families by achieving equality for all women. Founded in 1971 as the Women’s Legal Defense Fund, the National Partnership is a nonprofit, nonpartisan 501(c)3 organization located in Washington, D.C. with a $9 million budget and $18 million endowment. We are seeking a Director of Major Gifts to join our dynamic development team as our organization undergoes an organizational change process that seeks to ensure that we are more inclusive, diverse and equitable in our daily work and overall mission.
The Director of Major Gifts is a front-line fundraiser who is responsible for securing the organization’s high dollar gifts. S/he is someone who understands the donor cycle and will both develop and execute a strategy for major donor relationship management and solicitation.

Starting compensation will range from $105-120K with exact salary depending on experience. The National Partnership provides a generous benefits package that includes 3 weeks annual vacation time, paid sick time, paid federal holidays plus the last week of December, health, dental and vision coverage, 403B and SEP-IRA retirement options and paid family and medical leave for eligible employees.
