DC Primary Care Association’s (DCPCA) member health centers provide comprehensive primary care to 1 in 4 Washington D.C. residents, reaching a total of over 1 million visits a year. DCPCA’s Quality Improvement (QI) team provides member health center staff with the training and tools to strengthen and improve access to care, operational excellence, and health outcomes. The Senior Population Health Analyst will bolster the work of DCPCA and our member health centers, helping to leverage data to meet the needs of the populations that we serve.
The Senior Population Health Analyst is a new role at DC Primary Care Association (DCPCA), serving on the Quality Improvement (QI) team. The Senior Population Health Analyst will provide critical analyses for clinical quality improvement programs that seek to identify challenges and best practices among our network of health centers. This role will provide technical expertise to health center staff for optimizing the use of available clinical and claims data. At DCPCA we have access to a wide array of data, including patient data registries, health information exchanges, and population health management platforms. The Senior Population Health Analyst will manage several data-focused projects, under the leadership of the Director of Quality Improvement. These projects will include: evaluating key performance metrics to support value-based payment; reporting quality measures performance; identifying opportunities to close care gaps; and analyzing patient engagement metrics. As we seek to form a connected network of health centers to provide care for a targeted group of patients, we need to harness the power of our data to assess performance, identify high-risk patients, and target our interventions effectively.
The successful candidate will have a strong analytical background, with experience in health care. The ideal candidate has an enthusiasm for data, with extensive experience analyzing, synthesizing, and sharing results with an array of audiences. This talented professional is passionate about DCPCA’s mission and the ability to impact primary care in DC and be a data leader at the organization. The Senior Population Health Analyst will be a self-starter, comfortable diving into complex systems. This role provides the opportunity to inform health care practitioners and advocates on key population health trends and drive critical healthcare advances in the District.

This position is primarily sedentary in the Washington DC office with some local trips to stakeholder and clinical offices, as well as occasional overnight travel. The position may require some bending and lifting.
DCPCA is a fast-paced, high-energy organization with a very ambitious agenda and a highly motivated staff. This job will experience high work demands under tight timelines requiring a flexible and adaptable approach to daily challenges. There will be long periods in front of the computer and possibly standing or sitting for long periods. Position may require some bending and lifting (no more than 20 pounds).
