The Director, Policy Fellowships and Programs will serve on LEE’s Policy and Advocacy team. The incumbent will work to design and deliver high-impact policy and advocacy online and in-person programs and fellowships to refine members’ policy content, advocacy knowledge and leadership skills. These programs will allow our members to secure and succeed in leadership positions to increase opportunities and achievement for students from low-income communities. The Director also plays a critical role in integrating policy knowledge, skills and mindsets into the leadership development of members across a variety of career paths. In addition to program development, the Director will be responsible for developing strong relationships with external organizations involved in LEE’s mid-career policy and advocacy fellowship program, as well as developing entry, mid- and senior-level policy and advocacy leaders by coaching them in their individual leadership.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate passion for developing trainings for adult learners; expertise in education policy; advocacy skills and knowledge; have comfort engaging with high-impact policy, advocacy and elected leaders; thrive in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment; and be a proven self-starter. This position reports to the Senior Director, Policy Advancement and Development.
