The Emergency Preparedness Coordinator is a new role at DC Primary Care Association (DCPCA), serving on the Quality Improvement team. The primary duties of the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator will include support for emergency preparedness efforts with the member community health centers of DCPCA and this role will serve as the liaison between the Health and Medical Coalition (HMC) with the District of Columbia Department of Health and DC Primary Care Association (DCPCA). Responsibilities in this role will include interfacing with community health centers; helping to conduct assessments of health centers facility readiness in the event of an emergency; development and distribution of tools and resources; and providing technical assistance and training to health centers, as related to emergency preparedness. The Coordinator will provide other related duties as assigned and reports to the Technical Assistance and Program Manager.
The successful candidate will have a background in emergency preparation and ideally experience with primary care centers or student health centers. This talented professional will possess a solid customer service orientation, with enthusiasm for developing plans and comprehensive logistical details for emergency preparation. The new Emergency Preparedness Coordinator will be a self-starter and excited about the opportunity to strengthen and build procedures for health emergency preparation in the DC area. This role is a new addition to the DCPCA team and will quickly forge meaningful and productive working relationships across district-wide stakeholders.
