Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts seeks an Assistant, Marketing to be responsible for assisting with marketing projects to increase awareness and revenue for the Foundation; contributing to marketing outreach and promotional activities and strategies; and providing administrative support for the Marketing team as needed. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing Assistance
- Assist in the proofing of marketing pieces including brochures, print ads, web pages, email, etc.
- Manage bi-weekly email enter-to-win contest execution and winner notification
- Check for accuracy on artist websites and social media pages
- Oversee the promotional ticket process
- Create artist file templates as shows are booked
Marketing Outreach and Promotional Activities
- Manage the addition/updating of Wolf Trap performances on external websites
- Distribute performance quicksheets to internal departments and Wolf Trap venues
- Represent Wolf Trap at community events
- Update the Wolf Trap on-hold music as needed to market upcoming performances
- Assist with developing and writing grassroots marketing emails
- Assist Director, Marketing with brochure distribution to area retailers and corporate partners
Administrative Support
- Handle print invoicing and tear sheet archives
- Distribute performance booking sheets to Communications and Marketing department
- Oversee monthly ticket usage accounting
- Other duties as assigned by Director, Marketing
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- B.A. in marketing, public relations, or communications
- 1 - 2 years professional experience, preferably with a performing arts organization
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong written and oral communication skills, proofreading, and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Independent, responsible, creative, and self-motivated, with the ability to participate effectively in a team environment and work well with others
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends, especially over the summer season
- Sensitivity and commitment to the mission of Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts
