Tacoma Community College (TCC) has an outstanding employment opportunity for Director of Financial Services. This position is responsible for all College accounting activities, annual financial statements, development and maintenance of efficient fiscal controls for the College. Other responsibilities include revenue and expenditure management of state and capital allocations, local funds, cash management accounts and budget development. Accounting activities include revenue and general ledger accounting, accounts payable, customer accounts, student accounts and cashiering. The Director of Financial Services is also responsible for purchasing, receiving, and surplus operations of the College.
Tacoma Community College is a comprehensive state-supported community college servicing more than 720,000 residents of the Tacoma-Pierce County area and enrolling approximately 18,000 students annually (6,000 FTE). The College's service district includes all of Tacoma and the Pierce County portion of the Olympic Peninsula and serves the Tacoma and Peninsula school districts. TCC is one of 34 community and technical colleges in a statewide system. Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, just south of Seattle. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field, five years of management experience, strong computer experience utilizing a variety of business management software (e.g. Excel, Word, database management) and experience working with complex automated accounting systems.
This is a full time professional exempt position and flexibility in scheduling is required to meet the needs of the department. The starting salary of this position is $88,000 to $98,000 annually DOE/DOQ. Priority consideration date:June 29, 2017
