Internews is launching a project in Sonoma County called “Northern California Wildfire Recovery News Project” to help establish a trusted local information ecosystem for Spanish-speaking populations in Sonoma County. The project aims to help communities receive trusted, useful and actionable information to aid in continued recovery from the 2017 wildfire, and to ensure a trusted source of information to take action to prepare for the 2018 disaster season.
We are seeking an innovative, passionate Community Manager in the Sonoma area to be the lead on-the-ground person implementing this project, with support from Internews staff. The position is approximately 20 hours per week, for a period of approximately 8 months, from mid-May through December 2018.
