We are searching for passionate, talented, whimsical interns to support our youth writing and publishing programs. If you love working with youth, enjoy seeing their writing flourish through your editing support, and are eager to learn more about the nonprofit world, we may be a good fit for you!
About our Educational Programming Internship:
Our Educational Programming interns support our student programs in a variety of ways, including tutoring students 1:1 and in small groups, helping to prepare our students’ work for publication through editing and copyediting, and assisting our staff in the ins and outs of program management and scheduling volunteers.
Minimum commitment of 12-15 hours per week for the duration of the semester
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to our mission of supporting youth ages 6-18 with their creative and expository writing skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Experience with kids in a professional setting is a plus
Editing/proofreading experience is a plus
Candidates with Spanish, Chinese and other language skills are strongly encouraged to apply!
