Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program
Status: Full-time, $36,000/year plus excellent benefits
Specific Responsibilities: Through the provision of multiple evidence-based sexual health curricula with a diverse population of youth ages 11-18 years old, in middle school, high school, and community-based settings, you will have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of youth in the East County. This position is accountable to the Teen Pregnancy Prevention/CAT+ (TPP) Program Manager and is responsible for teaching evidence-based curricula with fidelity to the model and medical accuracy. Responsible for accurate data collection and maintenance per contract requirements. Will assist in development of Youth Advisory Council through recruitment, retention and meeting facilitation. Knowledgeable in group facilitation and management strategies for both small and large groups, and comfortable speaking in large groups and facilitating discussions on potentially sensitive topics in a safe and trauma-informed manner.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or social-service related field is required, with a minimum of two years experience working with youthor equivalent knowledge and experience. Bilingual (Span/Eng) is preferred. Must be willing to develop or possess working knowledge of trauma-informed care and dual diagnosis treatment; experience working in trauma-informed and dual diagnosis programs preferred. Familiarity with probation and social service systems preferred. Experience teaching sexual/reproductive health to youth preferred. Must possess excellent oral and written skills; work well autonomously and with multiple people/disciplines. Ability to work with minimum supervision and frequent interruptions, while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite. Able to lift and carry 25 lbs. Must have reliable vehicle and relevant auto insurance, plus a clean driving record. Must be able to obtain/maintain CPR and First Aid Certification. Employment offer will be subject to clearances, which include fingerprinting, background checks, TB testing and drug testing.
