Homeless Youth System Director
Status: Full-Time, $84,000 per year with excellent benefits
Specific Responsibilities: Accountable to the Associate Executive Director, the Homeless Youth System Director (HYSD) will manage the good working order of program systems, culture, services and agency performance. In partnership with Associate Executive Director, the Director is responsible for developing external and internal agency leadership, specifically working with the Continuum of Care Director of the Regional Task Force (RTFH) on the Homeless to identify service gaps for people experiencing homelessness; facilitate community planning processes that engage youth experiencing homelessness, the service provider community and other key stakeholders; support the development and coordination of system-wide solutions to youth homelessness in accordance with regional priorities.
This includes but is not limited to: community development, program development, quality assurance, coordination of cross agency service integration, direct staff supervision, resource development, fiscal management, provide training on service plan development, therapy model, current issues/trends of youth and families served, program policies and procedures and other areas as appropriate or assigned, as well as maintaining supportive external relationships.
Duties: HYSD Director will ensure that:
HYSD Qualifications: Ph.D. or Master’s degree in business administration, public administration, research methods, behavioral/social science, public health, computer science/management information systems (MIS), management science, urban/city planning, or a field relevant to the position and two or more years of relevant planning, analysist, community and collaborative conveying experience.
Must have knowledge of the homeless and runaway youth population, foster care system, case management, prevention, family support partner roles, co-occurring disorders treatment, implement evidenced-based practice models and work with other agencies. Must be able to function effectively in stressful situations, have sensitivity to direct service perspectives, tolerance of differences, creativity, and sense of humor. Must be able to pass clearance to work with minors. Must have good driving record and willing to use own, properly insured vehicle for the job.
