POSITION: Lao Family is seeking a Program Counselor. Bilingual in one of the following languages: Dari, Farsi, Pashto, Arabic, Kurdish, Burmese, Karen and other languages, is required. The position will be stationed in our Sacramento Office.
Under the direct supervision of the Cal-OES Project Coordinator Innovative Response to Marginalized Victims (KI) Program will be responsible for assisting the Afghan, Iraqis, Burmese and other new comer community. The Program Counselor will work closely with the Marginalized Crime Victim Witness Agency, District Attorney Office and Law Enforcement Agencies of the City and greater Sacramento areas to identify and meet the needs of the underserved special crime victims. The Cal-OES Program Counselor will be responsible for organizing and recruiting volunteers to provide assistance with the program; provide case management services and responsible for case by case assistance to other new Comer community of Refugees and Immigrants Marginalized Victims. Report to Cal-OES (KI) Program Coordinator.
