The Knox County Homeless Coalition (KCHC) is in search of a self-motivated, yet team oriented individual to become our Clinical Specialist focused on Mental Health. This is a rewarding position for someone interested in supporting individuals and families who are facing homelessness in our service area.
The Clinical Specialist will provide interdepartmental support for all KCHC staff including case managers (CMs), family shelter staff, youth program team, as well as operations team and others, as needed. This support can involve working directly with clients; working with CMs and other direct support staff to assist their work with clients; supporting crisis intervention with clients; and/or assisting in the creation of new programs or other tools.
The Specialist also works directly with the Operations team to provide support related to Human Resources policies and staff trainings, as well as assistance working with employees who need additional support balancing stress and burn out. In addition the Specialist will provide on-site support with KCHC’s youth program, The Landing Place, as well as the Hospitality House Family Shelter. The ideal candidate should be prepared to research and streamline therapeutic referrals for clients and drop in center youth, as appropriate.
Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy required. Background, DMV, and license checks are also required for final candidates.
