The Full Frame Initiative (FFI) is a national nonprofit dedicated to increasing access to wellbeing throughout the United States, especially for people and communities facing poverty, violence, trauma and oppression. FFI defines wellbeing as the set of universal experiences and assets that every one of us needs for health and hope, no matter our ZIP code, skin color or bank balance. We partner with organizations, systems and communities to fundamentally shift their focus from fixing problems to fostering wellbeing. This shift leads to better outcomes, addresses layers of inequity in our country, and is sparking a broader movement for positive social change. Learn more on our website.
FFI is growing and we have created a new position on our team for a dynamic and creative Director of Communications. This person will lead the development of, and then bring to life, an effective strategic communications plan to advance both the change we seek—equitable access to wellbeing for people across the country—and our organization as the entity best positioned to lead this change. The Director of Communications will grow brand awareness, expand FFI’s reach and resources, and help propel a movement for wellbeing. FFI’s headquarters are in Greenfield, MA, with a growing number of staff working remotely throughout the country. The location for this position is flexible, within the United States.
The Director of Communications will be responsible for all print and electronic communications and serve as a lead writer as well as strategic thinker; an immediate focus will be rolling out and applying FFI’s new branding and messaging across all platforms and co-determining near-term priorities with others in the organization. The Director will manage consultants and vendors, and support and coach other staff who have pieces of responsibility for communications; as FFI grows, s/he will help build and lead a communications team. Reporting to the Chief Capacity Officer, the Director will work closely with the CEO, providing continual strategic communications counsel, and collaborate across teams to increase the visibility of FFI’s work, partnerships and impact.
Highly Desirable Qualifications
This position requires a minimum of quarterly trips to FFI headquarters, and may require other travel over time.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits, growth opportunities, and the satisfaction that comes with helping to build an organization with national impact. Ready to help build a megaphone for wellbeing, and for FFI?
