At College Track, we know our success hinges on attracting and retaining a high-performing team. The HR Generalist is a new position on the team that develops and delivers HR and Talent programs to all employees and managers in the organization.
This role reports to the HR Manager and will partner with the People Ops team and employees across the organization to achieve results. This role will participate in the development and administration of programs that support the entire employee lifecycle including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, HRIS, and employee relations.This is a great opportunity to join an innovative and growing team and is ideal for someone who is ready to take their career to the next level.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Responsible for the administration of all aspects of the employee life cycle processes; partnering and liaising with site Operations Managers to ensure accuracy and completion; and data collection and analysis as it relates to employee life cycle
Manages the benefits program and administration including communication of program to employees, claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and partnering with the finance team for payroll accuracy; supports HR Manager in Open Enrollment project
Responsible for producing complete and accurate payroll changes to the Finance Team, responsible for employee and manager communications about pay, responsible for creating and monitoring payroll policies.
HRIS administrator (ADP): maintains employee records with a focus on accuracy and efficiency and makes recommendations for system and process improvements
Project manages the annual review, update, and communication of the Employee Handbook
Coordinates event needs on an as needed basis for the People Ops Team
Supports HR Manager with employee relations issues; addresses employee issues and inquiries in a consistent and confidential manner
Maintains knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law and industry practices, identifying possible areas of concern to address or review; recommends policy changes to maintain compliance; under the management of the HR Manager, ensures College Track is in compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and ordinances
Participates in development of HR/Talent policies and procedures by conducting research and making recommendations for new or revised policy
Manages the CT Safety Program and partners with the National Operations Manager to ensure full implementation across all work sites and making recommendations on program improvements based on site needs and relevant laws
Skills & Experience Required
4-year college degree
2-3 years experience as an HR Generalist working at all levels of an organization
Superior organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in high pressure situations
Experience maintaining an HRIS
HR certification preferred
ADP Workforce Now experience preferred
