College Track is seeking a National Operations Manager to support all operational and facilities management. This position builds the organization’s capacity to operate efficiently and effectively by providing high quality training, development and support to site Operations Managers and leaders and serves as a resource for all new facility build-outs. Responsibilities include successfully executing consistent systems, processes and policies in non-program areas. The National Operations Manager will work closely in partnership with other staff across the organization in support of strong operational systems. The National Operations Manager will be a direct report to the IT Manager.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Operations Manager Support (50%):
Seek opportunities to provide effective support, save time and money by enhancing processes, building tools, etc.
Coordinate and facilitate a learning agenda around the roles and responsibilities for Operations Managers at sites, collaborating with various departments as appropriate
In coordination with the Quality and Learning team, support the on-boarding of new Operations Managers with trainings related to their responsibility for site operations and managing the administration of finance, human resources and payroll.
Facilities and Maintenance (30%):
Project manager for the build-out of new temporary and permanent facilities, ensuring that they meet functional requirements, design standards, time and budgetary constraints and are consistent with existing facilities.
Provide oversight and consulting support to sites that require major tenant improvement projects (i.e. roof repair, construction, etc.)
Oversee non-employee risk management program including serving as liaison for general liability requests, field trip contracts, volunteerism, and ensuring sites uphold safety and risk management protocols set forth in partnership with the HR/Talent team.
Building Sustainable and Scalable Systems (20%)
Identify areas where operational systems and processes can be established, improved, streamlined or automated and implement/provide resources via creation of training documents for stakeholders, workflow documents, leading trainings etc.
Develop and maintain a communication system and knowledge repository to facilitate education and training for Operations Managers at all sites
Skills and Experience Required
The National Operations Manager must embrace the College Track vision of transforming low-income communities into places where college readiness and college graduation are the norms. Additionally, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
Previous experience as Operations Manager or equivalent role in education or nonprofit setting ideal
Minimum 4-year college degree
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
Ability to communicate complex concepts into language easily comprehensible to a diverse audience
Outstanding organizational skills, keen attention to detail, time management, and follow-up skills
Fully proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as online email and website platforms
Proven ability to successfully collaborate with a diverse group of professionals in a fast-paced environment
Experience designing and facilitating training and professional development sessions
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and problem solve independently
