  Job Description

Position Overview  

The Manager, Corporate Partnerships and Events will serve in a critical capacity to grow Coaching Corps’ portfolio of corporate partners and individuals. S/He will expand Coaching Corps’ ability to cultivate and steward corporations and donors through dynamic event and marketing strategies. 

Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the Manager, Corporate Partnership and Events is responsible for cultivating, stewarding and implementing revenue-generating relationships with corporations and individuals.  Primary responsibilities include building awareness with key corporate relationships, managing the annual, televised Coaching Corps Game Changers Awards, prospecting and soliciting sponsorships among individuals and companies, and building cause-related marketing promotions. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify opportunities to advance corporate relations, engage new companies for additional revenue potential, and ensure delivery of benefits
  • Plan and implement overall objectives and logistics for high-profile and regional events including the annual Game Changer Awards, regional donor cultivation and stewardship events, and other special events
  • Partner with the Board of Trustees, staff and donors to solicit sponsorships
  • Conduct event-related team meetings, including preparing agendas, with board, staff, consultants, and corporate partners, i.e., with NBC Sports Bay Area
  • Ensure corporate partnerships and events align with Coaching Corps mission
  • Liaise with corporate partner organizations and oversee day-to-day relationship management
  • Draft and develop corporate- and donor-targeted collateral and online strategy, content and materials that facilitate cultivation and stewardship across the organization, i.e. annual report, e-blasts, solicitations, mailings, etc.
  • Measure, track and manage expenses and revenue reporting for corporations, events with timely reporting to Senior Leadership
  • Manage all event-related systems, including registration and fundraising websites, online platforms, and oversee process of recording information into database
  • Actively assist the Executive Director and the Executive Vice President in special projects

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3-5 years of prior, professional experience, with development, communications, marketing and/or event management experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with a variety of stakeholders
  • Proactive, self-motivated problem-solver
  • Ability to work at evening and weekend events, when required
  • Highly organized, able to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems
