  Job Description


Perform “whole house” energy conservations estimates to geographical service are which requires comprehensive knowledge of energy conservation measures in residential homes, repair procedures, heating system evaluation and funding source guidelines.  In addition, this position requires client recruitment.  Responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of full estimates on small to large and complex projects.



  • Conduct pre and post “Whole house Energy Inspections” using field equipment
  • Complete Energy Equipment Audit Data Collection Report) EA-Quip and follows recommended energy procedures
  • Document collected work scope according to field observations and recommended energy data to clients file
  • Estimates cost of all necessary materials and labor needed to perform energy measures and maintains allowable expenditure cost
  • Completes all necessary documents to participant file according to State Regulated guidelines
  • Conducts follow-up work inspections by means of conducting unit field inspections, reports and records punch list: conducts final inspections according to contractor’s proposal; and submits completed unit report
  • Educate clients on the importance of energy conservation
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining job folders
  • Maintains and establish client/agency trust
  • Home visitations required
  • Provides regular program status reports and project plans
  • Prepare written reports, correspondence and presentation to senior management as required
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies
  • Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken
  • Maintains positive relationships internally and externally
  • Reviews estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy
  • Inputs data into computer spreadsheet/software program
  • Participate as needed in special divisional projects
  • Administers and observes the organizations office operations, policies and procedures
  • Volunteerism is encouraged during La Casa’s sponsored events
  • Responsible for community building and outreach efforts with the goal of increasing awareness in the community of La Casa’s program and increase participant numbers.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs



  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent (HSE)
  • 5 years of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and Access 
  • Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills 
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and work in a team environment
  • Must be detailed oriented and able to multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • New Jersey Driver’s License and Good Driving Record Required
  • Ability to carry oneself professionally
  • Ability to travel in and out of town for conferences and professional development trainings
  • Required Certifications:  Quality Control Inspector or ability to obtain QCI within 6 months, Energy Auditor Certificate or ability to obtain EA within 6 months, OSHA 10, OSHA 30 a plus, have Lead Safe Work (LSW) certificate, Lead Renovator, Repair & Painting Rule (RRP) Certificate or ability to obtain certifications within 3 months.
  • Must be skilled in operation of listed tools and equipment*
  • Must be able to observe safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly*
  • Must be able to wear a full and or half mask respirator within a confined space*
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions*
  • Operate listed equipment as required: blower door, gas detector, combustion analyzer, draft indicator, hand drill, ladder, hand tools, digital camera and other equipment as needed*
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 15-30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds*
  • Will be required to stand; walk; use hands to find, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  Employee is required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl*
  • Professional business uniform required

  • Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Schedule may vary.  Some weekends and evenings may be required to meet programmatic needs.  (Employee will be provided with advanced notice.)
