Coordinate special topic workshops
Maintain Harlem Resource Guide and bulletin board. Monthly Newsletter of low-cost/free opportunities
Make connections with other neighborhood agencies where we can refer girls. Include in Harlem Resource Guide. Particularly try to scoop up some social workers, clinics, or mental health centers. The Program Director will use these to make referrals.
Support Program director with In house events. i.e. POP Week and In Her Shoes Week. Along with coordinating and assisting with field trips and performance opportunities.
Along with ED and PD, prepare for Tap & Tapas
Self-regulation survey. Distribute, collect and organize end of the year surveys
Prepare for the recital with PD – particularly by proofing show order, hand-outs, program
Studio Management Oversight:
Assist in running operations of the studio during programming
Lining dancers up for class. Ensuring smooth flow of classes.
Bathroom: Make sure children are not stuck, stalling to return to class, left water on, or girls need help with clothing.
Studios: make sure children are not chewing gum, hanging on barre, running around
Teenagers: Make sure they are cleaning up after themselves. Food must go in the waiting room garbage.
Hallways: Children should not be screaming or running. Children should not sneak off to where we cannot see them.
Parents/ siblings should not distract the student from the door or take photos/videos.
Must happen within 15 minutes of class
Calling families for accountability- All students must be accounted for
