CASA-NYC is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization that provides advocacy for children and youth in New York City foster care. Our mission is to ensure children and youth have their needs met and rights protected while in foster care, and that they move out of foster care as quickly as possible. We acknowledge that the children, youth and families we serve have been impacted by intergenerational trauma, structural racism and chronic poverty. We are actively working to integrate trauma-informed, ant-racist principles. We partner with family members and their allies to support them in overcoming barriers to family reunification, permanency, and stability.
CASA-NYC is seeking an energetic and dynamic professional with expertise and experience in youth development to oversee our services for current and former foster youth, ages 15 to 24.
CASA-NYC is a partner project of the Fund for the City of New York. We are an equal opportunity employer intently working to integrate anti-racist, anti-oppression principles and practices. We are actively seeking to increase diversity and inclusion among our staff, volunteer team and on our board, in order to better reflect the racial, ethnic, cultural and economic background and experiences of the communities we serve. We encourage people of color, immigrants, LGBTQIA-identified and differently-abled candidates to apply.
Salary is commensurate with experience. A competitive benefits package includes a 401(k) retirement plan with match, health and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, pre-tax transit costs and generous vacation.
