-Provide tutorial assistance to high school students in Math, History, Sciences, SAT prep or Spanish or for Regents exams
-Prepare material for use in tutoring sessions;
-Keep attendance of tutoring sessions;
-Provide homework assistance;
-Prepare student evaluations: midterm and final;
-Maintain contact with HCE staff regarding students’ needs and progress;
-Attend orientation and staff development and staff meetings;
-Perform other tasks as assigned by the High School Coordinator.
Must be a student in good academic standing. Must be versed in the subject area in which he/she is tutoring. Must be a good communicator of concepts and aspects of subject matter. Must have good oral and writing skills. Must have experience working with a similar population. A similar background to the HCE students is preferred as is the ability to converse in Spanish.
