Job Description

Job Overview/Summary:The Global Mobility Officer will work the Global Compensation and Benefits team to administer the IRC International Assignment guidelines in more than 30 countries in with IRC operates.  The Global Mobility Officer will be integral to the efficient processing of international assignment for the IRC, including international compensation, benefits, taxation, immigration, and relocation.  

Major Responsibilities:

  • Function as the primary owner/manager of global mobility administration, including the entire life cycle of an expatriate, from pre-assignment through post
  • Act as the primary point of contact for inbound and outbound assignee population, including intra-office transfers
  • Act as the liaison between IRC and global mobility outsource vendors
  • Coordinate all aspects of international assignments including relocation, expense reimbursements, onboarding, etc. by working with various departments/teams in the IRC
  • Calculate cost projections for international assignment compensation packages
  • Prepare assignment letters
  • Conduct in depth policy counseling for assignees, Regional HR Partners, recruitment, local country HR and hiring managers including assignment orientations, assignment allowances, etc.
  • Maintain international assignment data in HRIS database (Workday)
  • Track monthly allowances payments data by working with finance department and regional/local country teams
  • Integrate international mobility program with various human capital strategies such as workforce management, succession planning, and performance management to ensure meeting business goals 
  • Keep abreast issues and changing needs of various countries throughout the year as conditions change
  • Special project work as assigned
  • Management of the full cycle of employee on – boarding process: Support all aspects of deployment (visa, shipping, initial visit, one-off payment etc.) and coordination with HR local points. Collection of hire forms and complete employee file. HRIS data entry

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required – Preferably in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or International Business.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Compensation/International assignment experience required.
  • Prior experience with budgets, compensation, foreign exchange
  • Prior experience utilizing analytical skills, including demonstrated data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - customer service focus a must.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Must be comfortable dealing with employees and management at all levels of the organization.  
  • Intermediate excel skills
  • Experience with managing multiple priorities concurrently in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in French a plus
