LP4Y Alliance is a network of 18 local organizations dedicated to
the professional and social insertion of excluded Young Adults (17-24) living in extreme poverty.
The Alliance currently operates in 12 different countries.
JOB: LP4Y NYC Lab Coordinator Support
MISSION: Support the launch of Life Project 4 Youth Lab in the United States of America
LOCATION: Bronx, New York City
The LP4Y Lab project is organized around 3 missions:
Talents: recruitment, training, sending volunteers on Inclusion missions abroad (outside of the USA),
Strengthening: training of trainers specializing in the professional inclusion of Young adults at risk,
Incubator of innovative entrepreneurial projects with a strong impact on the inclusion of young adults.
Your mission will be to come as a support to the LP4Y NYC Lab Coordinator and participate in the launch of the project in the Bronx, New York City.
In concrete terms, the missions will be :
Launch of the project:
Meet with local actors of Youth inclusion,
Map areas of poverty,
Find premises to host the project,
Support all recruitment stages (preselections follow-up, interviews, support for the drafting of contracts) of international solidarity volunteers.
Participate in the organization and logistics of Training Of Trainers events,
Work on budgets/projects,
Taking appointments with the different partners,
Writing the meeting minutes,
Follow-up with partners on appointed projects,
Communication and events:
Taking pictures and videos of events, projects, meetings, in connection with the LP4Y communication team,
Both flexible and organized
At ease with prioritizing
Able to travel in the US and abroad
Comfortable with basic IT tools (PPT, mailing, excel, word).
Excellent English speaking and writing skills
SPIRIT AND BENEFITS:
The mission, which lasts 13 months, is renewable and can be followed by the opportunity to become a volunteer in Asia afterwards.
It will appeal to candidates who are passionate about development, having already acquired experience, preferably in a training organization or in a business setting. Successful candidates will be open, dynamic, passionate about communication and looking for an opportunity to develop their character and skills in a multi-cultural context. The opportunity includes a 1/2 months trip to France and then Asia, in LP4Y centers, to get trained and experience LP4Y’s field actions.
Monthly allowance and accommodation provided in the Lab.
Basic food, health insurance, transportation and phone load taken in charge.
