WHO WE ARE
MCE is a mission-driven, collaborative, not-for-profit, locally-focused community choice aggregation energy program, providing cleaner energy and energy efficiency programs to 34 communities in four Bay Area counties. We are proud to be the first program of its kind in California and have been operational since 2010.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The Community Development team is focused on providing a high-quality customer experience for residents and businesses in our communities, and ensuring our communities are supported by MCE’s programs and services. This role primarily focuses on public engagement and education. Interns will supply customer feedback to the larger Public Affairs team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As an Events Intern, you will attend community events such as festivals and street fairs to help educate customers about MCE’s programs and services. You will act as MCE’s representative to the public, answering questions, sharing information, and bringing customer feedback to the larger Public Affairs team to improve our programs and services. You may also be asked to help with office tasks such as preparing event materials and swag. You will also have the opportunity to participate in any of MCE’s regularly scheduled meetings to learn more about the organization and the Community Choice movement.
