The Outreach Paralegal will be assigned to the LGBT Rights & Special Litigation practice group, the mission of which is (1) to engage in litigation that advances SPLC’s commitment to combatting hate; (2) to eliminate discrimination against the LGBT community, particularly in the Deep South; and (3) to engage in litigation that advances SPLC’s priorities not addressed by other practice groups.
The Outreach Paralegal – LGBT Rights & Special Litigation – will assist the Center’s attorneys with case management and support, conduct research, and organize information. He or she also will perform outreach to current and prospective clients and community organizations and assist with field investigations, discovery, and evidence preparation. Overnight travel is occasionally required.
