Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Deputy Program(s) Officer (DPO) will assume direct responsibility and supervision for the overall operational performance, outcomes, and financial performance of various programs (Mental Health, CalWorks, Early Childhood Education, and Trauma-Informed Care training), to include resolving budget, administration, and management issues, and inter-department matters, contract negotiations and management, and grant writing. The DPO is responsible for leading the team of directors to ensure that all programs operate efficiently and effectively to deliver comprehensive client services and a positive employee experience.
The DPO will ensure high quality deliverables, and assist the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in monitoring and controlling project progress and management. The DPO will demonstrate expertise in agency-wide program management in the nonprofit sector serving low-income communities.
The DPO will be responsible for improving Program processes and procedures, implement strategies that support business growth, strengthen relations between staff and employer in alignment with Drew CDC strategic goals, vision, and promote the organization's values.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess a high work ethic, excellent communication skills, strategic thinking abilities, strong organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. The candidate is someone who will be able to enthusiastically help Drew CDC attain the financial support it needs to serve the community.
