  Job Description

Heal the Planet ( is a dynamic and heart-centered organization that is working towards reculturing the next generation from a fast-food, disconnected mentality to one of living with a focus on personal choices that are healthy for the individual and that promote the ethical and loving care of our planet.

We’re looking for a professional educator with extensive curriculum development, innovative teaching, and program management skills to serve as our Director of Programs.


    • Masters of Education or equivalent strongly preferred.

    • Certification and experience in teaching at the K - 8 level.  

    • Knowledge and experience of program management, curriculum development, and innovative teaching methods.

    • Proficiency in the use of computers including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, and the Internet (including social media).

We currently have three main programs -

  1. The SEED Project is a free six-week program that educates children about the impact of their daily choices on their health and the health of the planet. We focus on plant-based nutrition, exercise, heartfulness, and ecological awareness. We believe that connecting children and adults to their hearts and their innate talents will lead to healthier choices being made in all areas of life. This program is taken to public and private schools, as well as after-school programs and summer programs.

  2. The Volunteer Program focuses on providing rewarding and life altering opportunities for individuals to be part of our Community of Transformation and to make a difference for the next generation and the planet.

  3. Our free community events focus on plant-based nutrition, exercise, heartfulness, and ecological awareness. These events are mainly managed by our Executive Director but the Director of Programs will play a supporting role in organizing and managing the events.
