The Maryland Center for Legal Assistance, LLC, (MCLA) a wholly-owned subsidiary of Maryland Legal Aid, announces the availability of an administrative assistant position at the Circuit and District Court Self-Help Center in Frederick, Maryland.
The administrative assistant will perform secretarial and administrative functions to generally support the work of the Circuit and District Court Self-Help Center in Frederick, Maryland. Responsibilities include greeting visitors and guiding them through the intake process, answering telephone calls, entering data accurately and efficiently, ordering supplies, maintaining accurate records of case referrals, updating online office calendars, coordinating submission of necessary human resources and information technology documents, generating reports and other assignments as needed. The administrative assistant may be called upon to assist other administrative assistants in other MCLA locations.
Hours and Location: This position will be located at the Circuit and District Court Self-Help Center’s Frederick location and the hours will be from 8:30-4:30, Monday – Friday.
Qualifications: A high school diploma and two years’ experience in the legal field preferred. Must be proficient with MS Office Suite products, have knowledge of office equipment, and have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills including the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations. Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred.
