YWCA is looking for a Chief Program Officer (CPO) to represent the organization within the community at local, state, and federal levels providing advocacy and partnership development. The CPO is responsible for guiding program directors regarding program management, development, staff supervision, financial development, and budgeting for all agency programs. The CPO actively demonstrates a passion for racial and gender equity, and the YWCA’s bold mission of eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
Full-time; 37.5 hours per week in hybrid setting.
Travel to various work sites is expected based on business needs or requests.
Founded in 1868 as the fifth YWCA association in the United States the YWCA has always tackled women’s issues.
At its inception, YWCA championed initiatives including a women’s employment bureau, minimum wage, protective labor laws, women’s suffrage, and job training for women. YWCA Greater Cincinnati was at the forefront of racial justice advocacy, establishing the first integrated cafeteria where interracial groups could eat in the 1950s.Since the 1970s, YWCA has provided services to victims of intimate partner violence and their children. The organization strives to build a coordinated community effort to provide the most comprehensive approach to prevention and intervention of intimate partner violence in the Greater Cincinnati area.
