Adoptions Together is seeking a consultant to lead our dynamic development department. Our high performing team is seeking just the right leader to help us raise $975,000 annually and expand our visibility and community of support. The ideal team member will be a seasoned development professional with the time, desire, experience and capacity to oversee and manage a department that works with the foundation, corporate and individual donor communities. We utilize a broad base of modalities including grant writing, relationship building, direct mail and events to encourage investment in our mission.
The best candidate for this position will have demonstrated capability and a track record in raising restricted and unrestricted funds through annual giving, major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, as well as public and private agency contracts. Having the ability to set strategy and manage a team of professionals and volunteer leadership effectively, creatively and successfully is critical. Reasonable understanding and working knowledge of non-profit finance approaches are a must. Experience with public relations, marketing, and communications to include social media is preferred.
Prefer at least eight years of increasingly responsible non-profit fundraising experience, including proposal development, events management, work with major donors (especially pipeline development), work with Board Development Committees and community partners.
