WORK SCHEDULE: 12 Month

Our goal is to provide our children with the academic, developmental and social-emotional skills, strategies and supports they need in order to successfully enter, over time, the most appropriate least restrictive learning environment possible. We are seeking candidates with the capacity to create collaborative, results-driven learning environments grounded in the principles of social emotional learning, positive behavior supports and standards-based instructional experiences with modifications where all children and their families feel understood, secure and supported in their growth as they attain learning readiness and beyond!
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field and a New York State Certification or Licensure in Occupational Therapy is required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
-Conduct individual and small group occupational therapy as prescribed on the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP)
-Promote optimal function and engagement in meaningful activities.
-Give support to teachers and families, and collaborate with other disciplines, as needed in order to address goals and objectives as indicated in each student’s IEP
-Comply with state and local requirements
-Assume responsibility for maintaining appropriate documentation regarding student services and subsequent needs, including clinical notes as required for the Easytrac session notes system.
-Provide and implement mandated services based on student’s current IEP
-Participate in weekly case conferences for assigned students
-Complete necessary evaluations of new students entering the program throughout the school year
-Compose student Annual reviews and Progress updates quarterly
-Maintain student/family confidentiality when necessary and attend parent/teacher conferences to provide parent (s) with progress updates.
-Display ethical and professional conduct that enables the building of a respectful, trusting and collaborative relationship with the center staff
-As well as all other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Program Director
