The Manager, Regional Impact (MRI) will be a part-time position on the regional team working to inspire and support the civic leadership of LEE members. This individual will lead efforts to identify, train, and support LEE members to be more effective in the pipelines to policy leadership, elected leadership, organizing, and advocacy leadership.
This role will involve meeting individually and building relationships with LEE members in order to inspire them about their own leadership potential and connect them to training and experiential opportunities that match their desired impact. The MRI will plan and execute regional training opportunities and initiatives to grow the regional LEE membership.
Throughout execution of these responsibilities, the MRI will prioritize increasing the diversity of LEE member leadership in the region, as well as maintaining meaningful and productive partnerships with partner organizations and community groups. As a team member in a growing and dynamic organization, the MRI will adapt to evolving understandings of the most effective path to impact.
Position Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Travel Requirements: 25%; includes travel between communities/cities throughout Alabama (15%) and occasional airplane travel for regional or national conferences (10%)
Engage the LEE membership base in Alabama by conducting individual meetings, connecting them to national and regional trainings, and coaching them to engage civically in the region (60%)
Building strong public relationships with other organizations and community leaders working in the advocacy and education space in Alabama (25%)
Engaging in administrative and team meetings (15%)
Benefits and Salary
Salary for this position is based on a variable 20 hour/week and depends on prior experience. In addition, a medical benefits package is included.
