About the Council:
The California Efficiency + Demand Management Council (the Council) is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit corporation representing the energy efficiency and demand management industries. The Council’s mission is to support energy-efficiency and demand-response policies and programs for all Californians to create sustainable jobs, long-term economic vitality, stable and reasonably priced energy systems, and environmental improvement. The Council (formerly the California Energy Efficiency Industry Council) was formed in July of 2009 and currently has over 70 companies as members. About the Position:
The Council has an immediate opening for a new Executive Director to provide strong leadership and oversee a staff of three full-time employees, and external consultants when needed. We are interested in an individual who can help take the Council into the next phase of its evolution. Candidates should have relevant policy experience and familiarity with California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) proceedings and California Energy Commission (CEC) activities. Exposure to legislative processes in California is a plus.
The Executive Director is the voice and outward face of the organization representing the CEDMC in forums, events, and oversight of all communications with members and stakeholders. The Executive Director is responsible for executing the vision and mission of the organization and delivering on the strategic plan goals with four primary functional aspects to the role:

The Council team works remotely, however, the ideal candidate will be located in the Bay Area or Sacramento area. Compensation is competitive for a non-profit Executive Director position. A full benefits package is provided.
