Full-time position - Training/Pro Bono
The Statewide Advocacy Support Unit of Maryland Legal Aid announces an immediate opportunity for a full time administrative assistant for qualified applicants.
Description: Perform secretarial, clerical and administrative functions in a law office. Duties include but are not limited to, answering multi phone lines, taking messages, data entry, maintenance of files, processing incoming and outgoing mail, use of multifunction copier/scanner/print/tax machines, typing of legal documents and general correspondence using windows based word processing software, perform general office duties assigned by office manager, other duties as assigned. Training duties include preparing training materials, nametags, ordering food and beverage, and attending trainings on site at statewide facilities.
Qualifications: Must be reliable, self-starting, and pleasant individual with excellent communication and telephone skills. Must be able to produce grammatically correct documents in proper format. Ability to type from transcription/dictation equipment as well as hard copy documents. Legal experience preferred but not required. Ability to handle high volume workloads. Access to a vehicle for travel to training centers around Maryland.
