About the Green & Healthy Homes Initiative:
The Green & Healthy Homes Initiative (GHHI) is a 501(c)3 entity with the mission of breaking the link between unhealthy housing and unhealthy families. GHHI supports housing, environmental health, and energy efficiency services for families in communities around the country, as well as conducting direct services in Maryland. GHHI’s delivery model is based on its data-driven philosophy that public and private social investments are optimized and social program outcomes are maximized when the energy, health and safety needs of an occupied home are addressed comprehensively, efficiently and simultaneously.
The organization is looking for an impactful leader and experienced professional who can implement and oversee various direct service program operations in Maryland. The program mission of the organization is to create and advance access to healthy, lead safe and energy efficient homes for children and aging adults in Maryland. The Director of Maryland Program Services will be responsible for the effective and efficient functioning of a comprehensive set of services including: Case Management, Family Advocacy, Education, Legal Services, Environmental Assessment and Housing Interventions. The Director of Maryland Program Services accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the vision, values and objectives of the organization. Through this work, the organization aims to reduce home-based environmental health hazards and triggers in low income homes and to improve health, economic and social outcomes.
