The Aspen Institute is an educational and policy studies organization based in Washington, DC. Its mission is to foster leadership based on enduring values and to provide a nonpartisan venue for dealing with critical issues. The Institute has campuses in Aspen, Colorado, and on the Wye River on Marylands Eastern Shore. It also maintains offices in New York City and has an international network of partners.
This position serves an important role in the success of the busy summer by supporting the cultivation and stewardship of current and new members. Duties include answering phones, scheduling meetings and appointments, research, preparing bios, briefing team and senior staff on event attendees and relationship goals, entering contact reports and actions in the database, drafting letters, preparing appeals, supporting event execution, and providing general administrative support to the Director, Society of Fellows and other senior development staff. This position is a temporary summer-only position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Primarily responsibility is to support the Director, Society of Fellows and senior visiting development staff. Routinely interacts with members of the Society of Fellows team, the OIA team, Society of Fellows members and Trustees, and Institute staff and attendees in general.
