TRACE is a dynamic and growing international organization based in Annapolis, Maryland that provides practical and cost-effective anti-bribery compliance solutions for multinational companies. TRACE is seeking a public relations associate with corporate communications experience.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Strategy and Communications, you will plan, prepare and relay information concerning TRACE to the press in support of the organization’s brand. You will have a proven track record in corporate communications, marketing, or a similar field. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain lines of communication with media contacts and other external audiences.
Monitor news on a daily basis and proactively develop pitch ideas based on current industry trends and news.
Drive coverage in target media outlets through pitching and distribution strategies.
Write and edit press releases, talking points, website and social media copy, marketing collateral, e-mail pitches and presentations.
Support an ongoing global media relations program – manage incoming media requests, schedule interviews, draft media responses and develop story ideas/opportunities for press engagement.
Orchestrate the publication of articles in industry publications and business journals.
Assist Senior Director of Communications in preparing award submissions.
Manage TRACE Prize for Investigative Reporting and other initiatives.
Track marketing and PR spend and provide regular updates.
Assist with website redevelopment, including managing deadlines and deliverables.
Provide support for marketing/communications related projects on an as needed basis.
Assist Senior Director of Communications with global partnerships.
Produce relevant deliverables (e.g. Earned media - tracking spreadsheet; Media contacts - contact details spreadsheet and outreach efforts spreadsheet; other deliverables as appropriate on a project by project basis).
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree is preferred, major in marketing, media & communications, public relations, business, international relations, etc.
3+ years of public relations experience at professional services firm or PR agency in support of professional services clients
Ability to work in a fast paced environment under tight deadlines
Exceptional communication and writing skills
Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to design and execute marketing and social media campaigns
Proficiency with social media channels, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers, team members and managers
Interest in international business a plus; fluency in other languages is also a plus
