AASLD seeks an editorial assistant to work with an editorial administration team managing database entry of manuscripts for research journals; communicating with editors, contributing authors and reviewers; and coordinating with professional publishers. Candidate must be a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and administrative skills, have a high attention to detail, the ability to prioritize, multi-task, manage and meet deadlines as well as work in a team environment.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two to three years of professional office experience, preferable for an association or publication, although this is a good position for new graduate interested in scholarly publishing. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, good web and publishing skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
