General Description: Provides support for the implementation, management, maintenance, and support of the Association’s business applications, databases, and reporting systems. Works as part of a team of technologists and program staff to improve business process for the purpose of increased productivity and efficiency.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
Contributes to the management of AASLD/s Association Management System (AMS) and related initiatives. Manages the resolution of issues related to the association’s business applications and database applications, ensuring issues are maintained and tracked in a technical support database. Reviews, analyzes, and modifies systems including testing, debugging and installing to support the organization's application systems. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. May be expected to write documentation to describe application process execution and best practices. Supports the administration of the association’s databases. Contributes to the policies and procedures related to data security and integrity; monitors and limits database access as needed. Ensures that all database related programs are functioning appropriately and monitors the success of scheduled transactions. Serves as the main point of contact for data extraction using state-ofthe-art relational database tools and techniques; Identifies data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and documents the process. Evaluates, produces, or writes code for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures. Assumes a management role for the documentation and testing of database applications and their related processes; Takes primary responsibility for the training and mentoring of AASLD end users, ensuring they are well versed in the database and applications. Assists with the development and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as they relate to technology. Analyses processes and determines ways to leverage technology for efficiency improvements and increased productivity. May be required to assume project management and implementation responsibility of new initiatives, processes and/or procedures as requested by leadership.
