Are you interested in gaining professional leadership experience, empowering communities, and making a lasting difference? Join the Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation team through AmeriCorps VISTA! The VISTA Leader will focus on VISTA recruitment and retention, creating new professional development opportunities for VISTA members, and provide resources and support to AmeriCorps VISTA members.
The VISTA Leader will be an essential member of the team for this growing nonprofit organization. This person will help to support Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation in assisting the Programs and Events Manager in VISTA recruitment and retention of AmeriCorps positions by improving and maintaining an applicant database, updating and dispersing position descriptions, and interviewing eligible candidates.
The VISTA Leader will increase the professional development opportunities offered to VISTA members at the Parks Foundation, Lahontan Audubon Society, City of Reno, and Envirolution. VISTA Leaders play a crucial role in providing support to VISTAs through one-on-one meetings, providing resources throughout service, and promoting a spirit of service for all VISTA members. The VISTA Leader will also help improve data collection procedures and sustainability binders.
