INTAKE & ACCESS SPECIALIST
This is a full time position (40 hours/week) located at an outpatient health center in SE Portland. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm.
The Counselor III, Intake and Access Specialist works as part of a larger intake and access team, serving four outpatient sites, while supporting a trauma-informed care environment. With the high prevalence of trauma among individuals receiving mental health services, it is required the Counselor III understand the effects of trauma on health, coping, and other aspects of the lives of those we serve. The Counselor III is responsible for completing Behavioral Health Assessments, Individual Service and Support Plans and will make determinations on level of care best fit for the client's needs. These processes will be for all new clients entering Cascadia's mental health clinics, both adult and child & family services. The Counselor III is responsible for providing excellent customer service and diagnostic skills as the first interaction clients have with Cascadia's outpatient services.
Clinicians do not carry a caseload, they provide one-time enrollment and assessment services to adults and children, spanning a large spectrum of mental health needs.
