San Diego Humane Society is Hiring a Full-Time Facilities Maintenance Technician for our Ramona campus!
San Diego Humane Society’s Project Wildlife is the primary resource for wild animal rehabilitation and conservation education in San Diego County. Each year SDHS gives nearly 13,000 injured, orphaned and sick wild animals a second chance at life at the state-of-the-art Pilar & Chuck Bahde Wildlife Center. In 2020, SDHS announced a new Ramona Campus, where they specialize in caring for native apex predators and birds of prey, including hawks, owls, eagles, coyotes, bears, bobcats and mountain lions.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing maintenance, repair and some janitorial work for Society facilities. They perform skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of facilities, equipment, and furnishings.
This positions requires a High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of three (3) years of full-time related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience working in a maintenance related capacity. Experience working with heating, air-conditioning, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or related building trades.
