Looking for a strategic leadership opportunity in community behavioral health?
Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare is hiring the Senior Director of Health Centers.
Over the last 16 months, we have learned that the way we’ve “always done things” may not be the best way. We’ve been clearly reminded that individuals experiencing serious mental health and addiction challenges often experience poverty and homelessness -- and their physical health needs are often over-looked and under-treated. We’ve also learned that COVID-19 happened to all of us, not just those who need services but also to those providing services. And, more so, we’ve been clearly reminded that the impacts of COVID-19 are much worse for individuals who are Black and Brown, are from Indigenous cultures, or other People of Color. .
Cascadia is rethinking the system of care we provide for the thousands of community members who experience serious behavioral health challenges.
We are also creating a workplace that is rewarding and sustainable.
Bring your leadership, operational skills, and compassionate care, and join us.
Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) and a newly designated Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) both of which offer creative funding opportunities for building services that truly meet today’s challenges. Practitioner opportunities exist in clinics, in residential sites, co-located with community partners, and mobile work within the community.
This position is housed at our administration office in NE Portland. The schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Under the direction of the Chief of Community Solutions, the Senior Director of Health Centers is responsible and accountable for the clinical delivery of mental health and SUD services, in collaboration with primary care, to create integrated, whole health care within Cascadia’s four health centers. This includes consideration of best practices in direct care for clients across the spectrum of integrated care, with behavioral health at the core of this healthcare model. This includes care that is delivered within and across behavioral health services, substance use disorder treatment services, primary care, and programs that support social determinants of health, including employment services, housing supports, and wellness.
The Senior Director of Health Centers must understand, appreciate and respect the diversity and cultural differences within our Cascadia community. As such, it is expected that this position promotes integrated care, our vision of trauma-informed and person-first approaches and helps create a work environment of inclusion, safety, and acceptance.
Cascadia recognizes that great candidates may not appear to check all the boxes in our job description. Though some of our positions do have State required or grant-mandated educational requirements, for those that don’t, we encourage anyone to apply that believes they have what it takes to do the job.
