Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR) is seeking a creative, enthusiastic and experienced manager and fundraising professional to lead WPR’s Membership department.
The Membership Director is responsible for leading the work of the membership fundraising unit within WPR. Primary responsibilities include departmental and staff management with a focus on team leadership, work-plan development, strategic planning and budgeting. Membership departmental goals are focused on fundraising and member acquisition, retention and growth. Utilizing on-air membership (pledge) drives, direct mail, door-to-door canvassing, email, online giving and social media, this position oversees the unit responsible for overall individual giving and membership at WPR. In partnership with PBS Wisconsin, this position also oversees Wisconsin Public Media’s Audience Services department. The Membership Director works as part of a development team and reports directly to the Chief Development Officer.
The ideal candidate is passionate about the mission and value of public media. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and collaborative self-starter with superior communication and interpersonal skills.
