Program Manager Position
One Small Step, Inc. is a Gilbert nonprofit that operates Clothes Cabin clothing bank and services.
Description - This position supports the Executive Director in various capacities, including supervision and training of volunteers, process improvement, clerical work, and facilities management. This is a part-time commitment, approximately 28-30 hours per week. The Program Manager reports to the Executive Director.
Who you are:
Oversee volunteers for Clothes Cabin and Friends Resale Boutique
Provide a welcoming onboarding experience for new volunteers
Post volunteer needs, recruit, and produce informational materials for volunteer outreach
Maintain volunteer schedule, set daily/weekly priorities, communicate daily assignments
Provide regular communication and recognition activities
Monitor volunteer activities and problem solve/retrain as needed
Respond to public inquiries by phone and email
Assist with facilities management; maintain a clean, safe and organized environment
Responsible for opening and closing the building
Provide support for fundraising events through scheduling of volunteers and committee participation
Assist the Executive Director as needed
Monitor Clothes Cabin inventory, provide quality assurance, and publish needs
Collect and report on client data
Manage partnerships for sharing surplus
Solicit and track in-kind donations (e.g., clothing drives)
Supervise volunteers and program delivery during program hours
Problem solve client issues and concerns
Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
Some experience in training and supervision of personnel or volunteers
Strong interest in leading volunteers; engaging individuals/groups in meaningful service
High level of organization, self-motivation, attention to detail and follow-through, ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in Google Drive, Microsoft Word and Excel
Proficiency in Spanish is preferred
Compensation This is an hourly-salaried position, range is $14-$15, depending on qualifications. Paid time off is accrued at 4 hours per month, and 24 hours of paid sick time is allotted annually. There are six paid holidays and the week between December 26 and January 1 is an additional paid holiday.
Schedule The required weekly schedule for this position is: Mondays 8:30-2:30 pm (6), Tuesdays 8:30-4:00 pm (7.5), Wednesdays 8:30-4:00 pm (7.5), Thursdays 5:30-8:30 pm (3). The remaining 3-6 hours are flexible and could include weekend hours.
